Hey!

Remember me? No? Didn't think so.
Been busy/sick/lazier than usual, so I have become more behind than usual. Getting the drive to submit half-done doodles is getting harder, because the workload just keeps increasing, and the time in which to do it, decreasing.

HOWEVER! Updates shall continue, sporadic as they may be. On with the show!

~~~
We begin with pre-game silliness; Meg and Alex (Panda and Skylarr, in-game) were fooling around before we started the game proper, when Meg decided that she wanted, er, certain privileges for herself. Thus, Meg had stated that Batt (Kaleon) had lost his "throne of grope-y" to Meg.
The image in my head was too much to resist.
But yes. Starting the game, we had just entered the plaguelands. It's quite the slimy, swampy, bog-y type place. Reminds me of Aramark kitchens, but I digress. Mylyn, our resident hottie-warrior guide, had determined that we needed to head towards the coast a bit before paralleling the quarantine wall to get to where we thought the source of the plague was. As night fell, we decided to take refuge in what we thought was a big abandoned tower.
Once inside, Othar assumed his hippogryph form and began exploring the upper floors of the tower. The first door Othar came across was locked, but being in hippogryph form, all it took was a few (read: quite many) well placed rear-kicks, and the door was down. The rest of us decided to explore the ground floor, and in the midst of the banging of hoof on stone, we discovered a trap door with magic auras within.
Kaleon decided to explore upstairs with Othar, and discovered that, in the room Othar had "opened" was a dwarven wizard with intentions of eating Othar, as he had not yet the pleasure of tasting hippogryph meat. When Kaleon informed the dwarf that we couldn't let him do that, the dwarf asked if he could sex-change Othar and breed him with summoned hippogryphs instead; the benefit of this plan, of course, aside from leaving Othar alive, was that there was the possibility of fresh hippogryph-egg omelets, too. Upon realizing what the dwarf's plan entailed, Kaleon mentioned that he might need psychiatric help if that plan ever came to fruition.
Meanwhile, downstairs, the rest of the party (Me, Panda, Skylarr and Rylan; Tyler was absent today) had gone into the trap door and discovered a sewage system with a magically reinforced gate. Some acid breath from yours truly made short work of that, but then we stumbled upon some sort of octopus-man monster that was very upset that we ruined his door. The ensuing melee was not pretty. I can't remember exactly what happened, but when the fireballs came, we forgot to take into account the fact that these were rather small tunnels, and fireballs led to severe structural damage.
Obviously, Kaleon and Othar heard this and came to help. Othar, still hippogryph-y, flew down to the ground before becoming a cat (his favorite animal), but Kaleon, despite having graceful magic to aid his decent, is the closest thing to a paladin we have in this game, and in every game that I or ~Kjatar have played in, paladin's have troubles with heights, so he crashed to the ground. (Not only that, after explaining this to Batt, he insisted on sliding down the ladder into the trap door. He just won't learn.) XD
The fireballs killed the octopus... thing, but the sewer tunnels were coming down. Most of us got to the ladder and out of the tunnel, but Othar was pretty far away. Panda conjured Tenser's Floating Disc to cover Othar-kitty from falling debris, but Othar forgot it was hovering over him when he shifted back to elf form to climb the ladder...
We scrambled to safety, but the sewers caved in. The whole foundation of the tower shuddered, and half of the building sank at least 8 feet into the ground. That's when we noticed that there was an illusion spell on the top of the tower, making the tower look at least three times as tall as it really was. Unfortunately for the dwarf, his illusion stayed where it was, and didn't move with the tower.
With a night's rest, we had completely overstayed our welcome with the dwarf and continued further into the plaguelands. We came across an abandoned village, largely destroyed, but one house looked quite intact compared to the rest of the town. Othar, Panda and Rylan decided to scout the house while the rest of us defended the horses. Othar cast a Wall of Fire around the house to keep out the infected, while all three flew to the roof of the house on summoned hippogryphs (we were well out of sight range of the dwarf, don't worry). We ended the session with Rylan and Panda dismounting (playfully) from the roof and opening the door...
~~~

Whew! Man, these are long. Anyway, that's one more session down! Quite a few more to go.... Anyway, stick around for more of these, as I will keep updating. Honest.

PS: No, really, ~Kjatar, can I have my XP back?

*Grin* That's earned yours for last week. Post the next one, and you'll get them next week.
Basically, as long as you get one of 'em up a week, you'll get the xp for them.

And so, with a grin of smug satisfaction, the powerful illusionist strode by the body of his fallen foe, intoning but a single word, heavy with meaning and power.
"Mew."

This is awesomeness in gaming form. I also hope you keep this up, as I'd like to see more of what D&D gaming is really like when you play.
